halloween 2011
I will be passing out Gospel tracts and candy to trick-or-treaters on halloween night. I don't celebrate halloween and I haven't since the first year that I became a Christian. I personally believe that it's too pagan in origin and I felt that the Holy Spirit impressed upon me to not celebrate it when I first got saved. I didn't feel right about it even though it used to be my favorite day of the year before I got saved. But, I decided that I could take advantage of the fact that trick-or-treaters come to my house door-knocking every year and that only occurs one day a year, and I can give them Gospel tracts. There are different websites on the Internet where you can buy halloween-themed Gospel tracts for kids and teenagers. These tracts do not necessarily promote halloween, but use halloween as a theme for trick-or-treaters to present the Gospel to them. Also, giving them a candy to me makes it all the more worthwhile of a visit for them. That way, if they don't really like the Gospel tract (although the Gospel tract is really cool) they can feel that they at least got something they liked out of coming to my house and maybe they will appreciate it more and want to come back again next year if they are still celebrating halloween (although I would rather they not celebrate it). I will report back here and give the information about my experience of halloween 2011. Please pray. Thank you and God bless.

Chalk (short Christian film about standing up for believing in God and challenging atheist professor)
This is a short film about an atheistic professor that challenges his students every semester to question a belief in God, until one semester everything changes.
I believe this is a film version of the famous story that's been passed around. I think it's also sometimes called "The Professor."
I couldn't find this film on the Internet, to buy or view. Maybe it's out there somewhere, but I never managed to find it. I think it was made in the 90's, but I'm not sure. I originally recorded this onto VHS several years ago from when it aired on television on FamilyNet (http://www.familynet.com/). I dubbed it onto DVD and then uploaded it here to YouTube. Sorry about the spotty video quality at times, but hey it came from VHS. I'm so glad I was able to find this and then upload it onto here. It's a little gem. I'm hoping that I'll be able to find some other rare, hard-to-find little gems on my old VHS tapes and upload them here.
God bless. :)
Also, I think there is more than one message to the film: 1) You can claim that you know there is a God or know that there is not a God, try to prove it or disprove it in various ways. But, at the end of the day, no matter what you claim to know and no matter what proof you may try to display if a person is unwilling to believe then they will not believe. It's all about faith. Truth will still be true no matter what. 2) Moral lesson: You should never be ashamed to stand up (for God).
Make halloween a Soul-Winning Event
Message from Jack Chick from Chick Publications on Vimeo.
If the Lord Jesus knew that one night each year a steady stream of unsaved children would come to His door asking for a treat, would He...A) Run off to church and ignore them so He could fellowship with other believers?
B) Stay home, but turn off the lights and hide in the back room?
C) Use this once-a-year opportunity to share His love with these precious lost souls?
This year, don't let this unique witnessing opportunity slip by. By dropping Chick tracts (and some candy) in trick-or-treat bags, you can give hundreds of kids (and their families) the Gospel, all without leaving your home. If you like doing what Jesus would do, here's your chance.
Kids need your help! Give them the Gospel this halloween.

End of the Spear (Movie)
Movie based on a true story. Worlds collide and tragedy strikes as a missionary group journeys to the heart of the Amazon Jungle in search of the Waodani, a tribe of fierce warriors completely isolated from civilization. When five of the missionaries are killed by tribesmen, their families are left husbandless and fatherless. Despite their tremendous loss, and as a testament to their faith, the families decide to remain in Ecuador and live among the Waodani as originally planned. It is a powerful tale of faith, sacrifice, courage and redemption.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ

The Gospel explained in a simple way. Sin, death, hell, forgiveness, salvation, heaven. What is it all about? What does the Bible conclude about all of this?7/7/11
Radio Broadcasts Offer Salvation for Colombians
You may be accustomed to going to church, openly worshiping the Lord, and reading your own copy of the Bible. What if even gathering even a few Christians together was illegal in your city, and there was only perhaps one copy of the Bible in your entire town? For people in Colombia, living like this is reality, and some Christians are hard at work reaching these men, women, and children who are calling out for Christ.
Through the power of radio broadcasts, the Gospel message can now reach deeper into the jungles of Colombia than it ever has before, finding those who are desperate for the love of Jesus. Watch and listen to the accounts of "Alex" and "Gabriela", whose lives were transformed through the powerful message broadcast through humble radios in their homes, or through the miraculous packages dropped in parachutes from an airplane flying overhead.
Please remember the Christians in Colombia who continue to work in harsh conditions, and pray for them to remain strong, encouraged, and focused on their very important calling.
Thank you to The Voice of the Martyrs Canada for their work producing this video.
