Hi, I've recently found out that HEB has sponsored gay pride festivals. I had no idea about this. Now, I've recently heard about HEB doing this. I am so upset and concerned for many reasons. One of the reasons is because I recently got hired as an employee for HEB in a Corpus Christi store. I recently attended company orientation and they put us through a little teaching about diversity. The instructor spoke of different things, but I do remember that she gave us a sheet of paper that had different things written on it. One of the things on the paper is a circle graph that shows things that help shape a person in their life, such as age and gender. The things that are closer to the circle are considered to be things that a person has "little to no control of" and one of these things on the paper is "sexual orientation." Throughout the instruction, I kept saying to myself contrary to that because I definitely do not agree with that. I thought that was bad, but I had no idea that HEB was actually contributing money to homosexuality and sponsoring gay pride festivals. Now, I don't know what to do about my job. It was very hard for me to get a job and HEB was the only place willing to hire me out of all the places that I applied to. Are there any businesses that don't support homosexuality in some form (except for Christian ones of course)? I don't know what to do and I feel bad about it. I felt like it was God's will for me to work there because it was pretty amazing to me that I actually got a job and I was praying and praying about it. I really don't think I would have gotten the job if it wasn't for God. Fortunately, HEB respected my right to observe my Sabbath and not work on that day - although some of the managers seemed concerned that I wouldn't be working on that day week after week. I don't think it's a problem, especially since they were only hiring for part-time anyway and I am willing to work on days that other people normally wouldn't want to work on, like Thanksgiving and Christmas. I've emailed AFA (American Family Association) a couple of times about this and I've emailed a Christian radio station that protested HEB for taking part in this. I am emailing HEB now and I might try to do more, but I don't exactly know what to do. Of course, I need to pray and pray about it too. Please, I urge HEB to stop contributing money to homosexuality. I already know that HEB contributes money to others causes, but I'm not talking about other causes right now - I'm talking about homosexuality. This is plain wrong and it needs to stop. God and His Word specifically condemn homosexuality and warn that anyone who takes part in it will not inherit the Kingdom Of Heaven - unless they repent and give themselves to Jesus. This is serious business and no one should be supporting it. We should love homosexuals, but not love their homosexuality. They need help to stop being homosexual, not encouragement to continue being homosexual. An alcoholic, for example, needs help to stop being an alcoholic, not encouragement for him to continue on with it. The same goes for any other sin. This is so obvious to me, but sadly many people are duped and brainwashed into thinking contrary to God and logical reasoning. These comments might sound harsh, but it's the Truth and I'm only trying to help.

No, I don't think you'll find anti-gay non-religious companies anywhere in the first world. There's a bill going through Congress right now to make it illegal to discriminate against someone simply because they fell in love with someone whom you deem unfit for them.
Hi. I write this to you with love, so please don't assume that I'm here to "attack" you.
I know you're upset with my comments because you disagree with what I wrote. My blog is my blog, and I'm sure you know that if it's my own blog then that means I can write whatever and however I would like to write. It seems common for someone who disagrees with what someone else writes to criticize not only what they write, but also how they write it. It seems as if that other person is hit emotionally and feels the need to take a "low punch," which I think is rather unnecessary. I don't know if that was your intention or not. But, if you didn't like how I wrote my post, remember, I didn't force you to read it in the first place. However, I don't have a problem with how I wrote my post because it's my blog and I'm simply writing what I feel like writing. I'm not trying to win a writing contest, or I would have put more effort into the technicals of writing. Also, I don't post vulgar language or photos or "hate speech" towards any person. The post that you commented on is directed much more towards other Christians who understand why I wrote what I wrote. I don't hate homosexuals, rather I love them. It might not seem like that to you, but that's only because you don't understand it. I don't say that to offend you, but out of simple honesty. The only thing I hate is evil. I know that you only disagree with what I believe in simply because you don't personally know and understand what I believe in. I didn't used to believe in it myself, until I turned to God and became reborn through Jesus. Then, and only then, did I start to understand the Truth. If you would like to know why I believe what I believe, whether it's in regard to homosexuality or some other topic, then I would be happy to tell you. Or if you would like to write to me about anything else, then that's fine too.
