Today’s Sure Word: God has blessed me

The Journey to Extreme Greatness: The Death of a Legend. Vol. 5

7 These are the days of the years of Abraham’s life, 175 years. 8Abraham breathed his last and died in a good old age, an old man and full of years, and was gathered to his people. Genesis 25 (ESV)

Amazingly we have seen that Abraham delayed for twenty four years wanting God to listen to him rather than him listening to God. We make these mistakes ourselves. “Faith makes all things possible.... love makes all things easy.” All God need from you is your faith. He does not want you to exhibit a mango seed kind faith but he wants you to exercise a mustard seed kind of faith. He is saying that all you need to move the highest mountain is that very small insignificant faith.

When Abraham believed God, it was accounted unto him for righteousness. Until Abraham believed God he was walking in sight and not in faith. Don’t allow your condition and the situations in your life to define who you are or to determine your relationship with God. I long made up my mind to be allegiant to God no matter what. Even if things refused to work for me, it is too late for me not to believe God and walk by faith.

Genesis 24:1 “And Abraham was old, and well stricken in age: and the LORD had blessed Abraham in all things.” This is a man that once missed the mark. Here we are told that he was well stricken in age and was actually blessed in all things. I am blessed in all things. You are blessed in all things. You will agree with me that you still struggle for some things. Here the manifestation of the blessings were radiating throughout the life of Abraham. This is what we are all seeking for.

The blessings of the Lord make you rich without adding sorrow. Despite the fact that Abraham was rich and blessed in all things, we see that he takes decisive and responsible action to make those blessings materialise in his life. He commissioned his servant to go forth and look out for a quality wife for his son, Isaac. He did not fold his hands to say that he has been blessed with all things. He went out and claimed all things that were his through being blessed.

You have been waiting, wishing and hoping for too long. You have so depended on a second opinion, neglecting the word of God. Now is the time for you to stand up and take responsibility for your life. The word will not work for you if you do not act by faith. Word without action is dead. Faith without action is dead. It does not matter the number of positive affirmation you make, if you will not act, you will not succeed.

What you believe is irrelevant if you act against your believe. What you believe and act upon determines who you are. Your belief is what generates your motive. Your motive enables you to act. Your action produces the result. Until you believe and act accordingly there will be no result in your life. As you belief God and act in his word, you are accounted as righteous.

Being born again and filled with the Holy Spirit does not make you righteous. Abraham believed God and acted, it was accounted unto him for righteousness. In your Bible acted was not included. I am expressing the interpretation of what it means to believe. When you believe, you act in faith and it is the action of faith that materialises your believe into reality. Until you act in faith, you cannot please God.

Mark 11:24 “Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” What you say is the action you took as you believe. There must be a corresponding action to your believe. We have made so much confession that is hanging on the air waiting for us to act. We are not acting hence we are not walking by faith. We think God is a magician from the way we confess the word without the same word having a lasting effect on us.

Reading the achievement of Abraham made me realise that faith works by all means. This was a man that has no confidence in the physical appearance of his body and of that of his wife. He gave up hope some times and we are told that he hoped against the hope he gave up. The situation he was in was so hopeless, it makes no sense and yet he refused to give up. He created hope from the word of God and used the hope in the word to replace the lost hope in his life.

Things are not working for your favour. The conditions around you are so tense and severe and the rules of man have ruled you out. There is no way under the government rule that you will be qualify. People have started advising you what to do but you heard the word giving you clear and opposite instructions that made no sense. I advise you to hang on and hold unto the word. He is saying to you today that all things are working for your own favour. What I understand here is that the good, the bad and the ugly situation you facing at this point in time is actually working for your own good.

“Faith isn’t faith until it’s all you’re holding on to.” Faith Quote
